Questioning Friendship, Meaning, Cheating, Age, Stupid, How, and Love

"Statistics can be made to prove anything - even the truth."
-- Unknown

I'm sleeping with a girl and she has a boyfriend. What should I do?
She is a statistic. Keep sleeping with her, and have fun, but don’t let it become more than that. She is sleeping around. Her boyfriend is now, also, a statistic. She probably won’t stop just because of you. Don’t become another statistic.
Why do people who have been wronged believe two wrongs make a right?
They want revenge, not realizing that karma will spank them as hard as the person who wronged them.
Should I apologize to someone if they found out I gossiped about them?
Yes, if they have taken umbrage. Explain that you have personality flaws you are trying to work out, and ask their forgiveness. Of course, if they mean nothing to you, tell them to grow a set of broad shoulders to let shit like this roll off of. Then, ignore the whole thing.
What is a possible response to someone saying "I am not being toxic"?
Put your mask on.
How does it feel when your best friend doesn't talk to you like before? Is our friendship going to end?
You feel ostracized. If you really feel they’re your “best friend,” why are you asking us? Ask your “best friend” what the problem is. If friends can’t communicate, the friendship is finished.
“Friendship plants itself as a small unobtrusive seed; over time, it grows thick roots that wrap around your heart. When a love affair ends, the tree is torn out quickly, the operation painful but clean. Friendship withers quietly, there is always hope of revival. Only after time has passed do you recognize that it is dead, and you are left, for years afterward, pulling dry brown fibers from your chest.”
-- Anna Lyndsey
What is the meaning of the phrase, “She’s a part of my heart.”?
She is loved. I have several ladies that are part of my heart. One is my girlfriend, one is my daughter, one is a young lady who has chosen me as her surrogate dad, and there are several others that I consider dear to my heart.
What are some reasons why people think that friends are always right?
None that I can think of… unless their source is better than mine.
What is the saying "A liar needs a good memory" based on?
Because, according to Mark Twain, “If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.” It is tougher to remember all the lies you tell because, well, they aren’t the truth.
Do all men want their girlfriends to be educated?
Not necessarily. “Talent” can be an acceptable substitute.
Can people be too powerful for their own good?
Adolf Hitler found out the truth of this statement, as have many other dictators dating back to the pharaohs of Egypt. Another good statement to remember is, “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men…”
-- John Dalberg-Acton
Did Joe Biden cheat on his wife? If so, what does he do when he cheats with other women?
He's been in politics for over 40 years.  And, now... well, I doubt if he can get it up, so, define cheating?
Why are people stupid enough to believe it's not nice to batter your enemy?
It isn’t “nice” to batter your enemy, but it is necessary during a time of war. Even then, we have to observe the Law of Armed Conflict or be labeled war criminals. Putin is a war criminal. As a member of the United Nations, Russia must be familiar with the concept, yet he destroys civilian targets, hospitals, schools, and homes, at will.

What is a situation that is right and wrong all the time?

Democracy.
Will stopping talking about race stop racism?
If the Jussie Smolletts of the world would stop creating drama, we would all be better off. If we do away with Critical Race Theory, we would be better off. We are working hard to end racism, but every time we get ahead, some dumbass knocks us back, The only program we need, is to treat each other as equals. We have laws on the books prohibiting racism, so, how about we make use of them?

What is the best way to discipline your wife when she is wrong?

Spank her. A nice pant-down, bare-hand, spanking over your lap.
“A man shouldn’t assume his wife was happy just because she didn’t complain all the time. She had complained this morning. He’d spanked her for it. That didn’t sit right somehow.”
-- Starla Kaye
Is there a word for when a person is not aware when he's doing something wrong?
Clueless.
At what age did you realize your mind has diminished with age?
Somewhere around 65, when Covid hit. It isn’t debilitating, but it is noticeable to me. I’m now taking memory supplements, and they seem to help.
How can I get over him? Why can I not? I have tried everything. We never even dated. I miss him so much, sometimes I think missing him is all I am.
You are in love.
When you think about your service-learning experience and your own way of showing up in it, what comes to mind? How did you manifest your own particular ways of being and doing in this collaborative endeavor?
Professionalism. The Intelligence field was like most other fields of military endeavor. If you weren’t on top of your gamer, people died. And, in Intelligence, and especially in nuclear planning, a lot of innocent people could die. An enemy government is not necessarily representative of the people they rule over.
What are the roles of a leader in an organization?
I’ve only known one true role. Management. And, they better be good at it.
“The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.”
-- Ronald Reagan
How can someone graciously accept something that was meant to be a mistake?
If it was meant to be a mistake, then graciously accepting it is turning the tables on them. If the mistake is a gift of a bag of shit, it will become the best bag of shit you’ve ever received as a gift.
Is there anything that I can do to not cause friends or family to be jealous of me or not? Other than never sharing any good news with them or changing how I look?
You are who you are, and it is what it is. If they are jealous, so be it. What they are is of no concern to you. Let them be who they are, as they should let you be. Maybe they should consider generating some good news or changing how they look. If they can’t be happy for you, then you should concentrate on being ecstatically happy for yourself.
Where do many of today's sympathetic villains fail?
Well, first of all, they’re villains, and, as such, they’re not supposed to be viewed as “sympathetic.”

What is the psychology behind people who are clingy and possessive?
They have a great fear that they will lose someone or something, It probably happened to them in the past, with a friend or loved one. They perpetuate the same outcome by being clingy and possessive. They are caught in a cycle of their own creation. If true, the best someone can do is sit them down and explain it to them.
How can stupid people live with themselves and deal with people making fun of them everywhere they go?
Are you judging, or do they actually know they are stupid? If you’re judging, I’ve been told a mirror will help you see clearer.
“The self-righteous scream judgments against others to hide the noise of skeletons dancing in their own closets.”
-- John Mark Green
What is the best response if a girl tells you, “How?”
“You don’t know?”
What is the best way to answer the question: "Do you think you are worthy enough to be with my daughter"?
A young woman I love dearly, adopted me as her surrogate dad when her dad died just a short time ago. I was moved to tears. The last thought on my mind was to question her worthiness. I am so proud and honored she thought that much of me.
Why is he bullying me at school (like shaking my table, closing the door when I am supposed to come in, etc.) but he sometimes helps me out?
It sounds like you mistake his version of playful “flirting” as bullying. A bully will never help you out, take it from me.
Do people even in the USA today read books or learn things merely for the enjoyment or curiosity to know anymore?
I can speak for the “old school” people and tell you we still read, learn, and exchange experiences just for curiosity and enjoyment. I look up from my computer and see I am running out of room to put new books on quantum physics, religion, philosophy, and writing guides. Whether the young people can man a militia, however, is yet to be proved.
What are some words that mean the same as "good-looking"?
Handsome, beautiful, pretty, cute, comely, gorgeous, attractive, and the like.
“I never met a woman that didn’t know if she was good-looking or not without being told, and some of them give themselves credit for more than they’ve got.”
-- Tennessee Williams
What do you say to someone who is demanding and entitled?
“Shut your pie hole, dumbass, or I'll shut it for you."
How can someone say they love you and then hurt you?
My ex-wife did this to me, and I suffered through 25 years of denial, trying to save the marriage. Yep, I was an idiot. It took me until after the divorce when I had lost everything, to understand the marriage died in the first few years. I wasted a third of my life. Don’t waste yours. Find happiness.
What happens to a person's soul when they change?
The soul learns.
When fathers neglect responsibility, how is it bad not just for the children but society as a whole?
Have you actually been paying attention to what’s happening in the big cities? Assaults, murders, theft, riots, burning, and all on a scale never seen before in U.S. history. This is due, in large part, to the failure of family and, in particular, to the failure of fathers to embrace their responsibilities.
Do people with no fears have any fears?
Did you not read what you wrote?
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
-- Marianne Williamson

(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch, it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. An opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form opinions of their own, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions and while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion, in an arena of mutual respect, concerning those opinions put forth. After over twenty years with military intelligence, I have come to believe engaging each other in this manner and in this arena is the way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience, and what we do afterward.
