Questioning Loyalty, Texting, Atheism, Sex, Sex, and Respect

“I used to advertise my loyalty and I don't believe there is a single person I loved that I didn't eventually betray.”
-- Albert Camus

Can someone be loyal but still get cheated on because they are too naive, trusting, or gullible?
Happens all the time.
Can anything exist forever?
I’ve read, “Hawking radiation suggests that nothing in our universe can last forever.” I’d go with that.
Is it okay for a man to cheat on his fat and ugly wife?
Not if he truly loves her.
What would be the best way to respond to online trolls who harass people using their real identities?
If everybody would simply ignore their immaturity, they might go away. Paying attention to them keeps them active, which shows their immaturity.
What are the implications of ignoring an ex-partner?
Peace.
How can I control my emotions about assessments and get over it? I recently did badly on an exam I was supposed to be good at and I start to cry (or tears well up) every single time I think about it. I really want to focus on other exams but I can’t.
You really need to understand failure. For one thing, failure is the best way we learn. So, what did you learn from this? You’re not as good at it as you thought you were? Maybe you need to try harder and study more. It sounds like ego got the best of you. It isn’t the failure you need to pay attention to. What you do with the failure, your perseverance, makes you stand out.

“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”
-- Winston S. Churchill
What are some things a girlfriend should not text another guy about?
Her current boyfriend’s lack of sexual prowess. Then again, if she’s looking to trade up…

When does it become too long to wait for someone who isn't ready for commitment yet?
When you find a person who is. You can only wait so long for a decision, and that length of time can vary from person to person. How long, to me, is when I ask the question and they balk. That tells me I’m being used. Ture love be damned. If they aren’t the greatest “sex” on earth, I’m on the hunt, again.
Do you want me to be with your wife?
She’s my “ex” and I wouldn’t wish her on anyone, even a stranger.
Should I break up with my boyfriend when I found out he was pregnant by his ex-wife?
If your boyfriend is pregnant by his ex-wife, he isn’t a boy, and his wife is in question.
Why do atheists allow themselves to be spiritually sodomized by Satan daily?
What part of them not believing in Satan, God, or spirituality escaped you? They are atheists. I can’t address the truth of them being sodomized, however.
What is the best "it was all a lie" quote you know?
Try this:

"Never have so many jokes been made about the president's cigar, the phallic toy that Monica is said to have employed in the pantry to the president's delighted applause."
-- Wesley Pruden
What would you say to an atheist who said they are not afraid of ghosts?
I’d invite them on a paranormal investigation of a proven haunted property, and let them survey a floor alone for a couple of hours.
What is the best way to respond to someone who asks, "Why?" for no reason?
“Because.”
You're at a party and you overhear two people discussing religion. One of them says "I think atheist people are stupid because they don't believe in God." What will you say?
“Where is your proof of God?” Truth be known, neither side has any incontrovertible proof. Faith, which both sides have in their belief, is defined as “a belief in something for which there is little or no proof.”

If I were to pass away unexpectedly, how do I ensure my boyfriend has the rights to all of my belongings?
You can purchase a “Last Will and Testament” at most quality bookstores.
How do you fight for someone who doesn't want to be with you anymore?
You don’t. I fought for 25 years to hold my marriage together. In the end, she admitted she never loved me. A hell of a thing to find out after trying to make it work for 25 years and having two children together. Sometimes it just isn’t meant to be. If I’d known I would be so ecstatically happy for the past 23 years, I’d have ended the marriage sooner. Who knew?
What are the benefits of marrying a rich man/woman? Does love have anything to do with it?
The benefits are tangible and can have little to do with true love.
"Women who marry for money and Men who marry for beauty are equally robbed in the end."
-- Harmon Okinyo

What is it like to have sex with another man’s cheating wife?
Dangerous. You don’t know what STD she is spreading, and the husband might try to kill you.
Should I still divorce if my husband loves me, and we don't fight, but I have zero feelings for him? I also told him I don't love you at all but he still tries and I still have absolutely no feelings for him.
Divorce. I spent 25 years trying to hold my marriage together, and she finally admitted she never loved me. Don’t waste most of your life with someone you don’t love. You are playing an obvious game with his emotions and you can waste a large part of both of your lives.
What is the best weapon against cynicism and nihilism?
The best weapon is to Ignore ignorance. Just walk away from it.
Does a man's wealth affect his wife's love for him?
It depends on what kind of a man he is, and what kind of a woman he married. If he is a man who believes in a “partnership” then the wealth belongs to both of them. If the wife believes she married him for true love, she will expect him to take care of her. And there are opinions in between that muddy the matrimonial waters. Their true love for each other should bridge any gap. "Should" is the operative word, here.
Would a relationship survive infidelity if you disclosed your cheating to your partner?
It will never be the same. The partner may forgive, but they will never forget. What kind of relationship is that?
Do atheists believe in guilt or sin?

I would say guilt covers the entire stage. If you do wrong, you haven’t sinned, but you have done wrong in the eyes of the law and/or the people around you. In this context, you are as guilty… as if you had sinned. Theists live under a blade with two edges. They have sinned in the eyes of the church and they are guilty in the eyes of the law and/or the people around them. If the law slaps them on the wrist, they now have their belief in God to deal with. They are damned until they make it right. Sucks to be a theist.
"You get these Satanist types that don't believe in God. OK, so you realize you don't get Satan if you don't get God, right? Or atheists who want to believe in ghosts. Wait, wait, wait. You can't have a two-way go on that. If you want to be agnostic or be an atheist, fine. But you don't bring ghosts along with you."
-- Mike Leach
Does sex have to be in any relationship?
This is why we have “streetwalkers” that charge for the experience.
What are the consequences of a man cheating in a relationship? Does this mean he doesn't love you?
You think? And the consequences are, that the man can be spreading an STD to you, dying of AIDs, or dying by shotgun (if she’s married), and so much more I can’t list.
Tell me, what are your dreams?
I can’t tell you that. It would curl your toes.
Why do I leave my girlfriend after a big argument?
I used to leave my girlfriend or my wife because I was afraid of being violent to her. I would beat my fists into a cinderblock wall or a tree. It was to no avail with my wife, however. She would call the police and lie to them about me. I found this out from the Security Police on an Air Force base. I should have divorced her back then.
Tell me, what are your goals?
I have fulfilled all my goals but one, to die a very old man.
Over time, I've grown apart from my wife. She is very pretty and outgoing. Should I kill her so nobody else can have her?
So, you want to spend the rest of your life in prison as Bubba’s bisexual ass buddy? A “stiff” penalty for growing apart, don’t you think? Better to live and let live.
"Homosexuality in Russia is a crime and the punishment is seven years in prison, locked up with the other men. There is a three-year waiting list."
-- Yakov Smirnoff

Is it arrogant to assume that people you don’t know have to earn your respect before you give it?
No. I give my respect and wait for them to reciprocate. If they’re an arrogant asshole, I walk away from them.
How do you notice a cheating girlfriend?
I’ve seen her with her boyfriend. This isn't him.
Why would anyone be interested in earning a disrespectful person respect?
I have demanded it from several gay women who carry a chip on their shoulder and dare you to knock it off. I don’t play that game, and I have no filter. Their “disrespect” came around to my way of thinking - mutual respect.
What happens when the person who is accused of cheating turns around and accuses the other one of infidelity?
If the proof is there, then both are guilty. I wouldn’t be the first one to throw stones if I was just as guilty.
Is being dependent a Weakness?
Being independent, if you choose to be dependent, then, maybe not. But, if you have no choice, and become dependent, maybe. A professional may choose to give their spouse a chance to be the breadwinner. This takes balls. But, they can always take back the reigns of command. Both of them are showing strength.
Can atheists answer this question: What would convince you of the existence of God or an afterlife?
Neither can theists. Faith is a belief in something for which there is little or no proof. Neither side has any incontrovertible proof of their belief.
“I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?”
-- John Lennon
Editor's Note
(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch - it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. Opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form their own opinions, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion in an arena of mutual respect concerning those opinions offered. After twenty-three years of military intelligence, I believe that engaging each other in this manner, and in this arena, is a way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience... and what we do afterward.
