Questioning Arrogance, Introverts, Problems, Narcissists, Sex, and Glory

“He knows nothing, and he thinks he knows everything. That points clearly to a political career.”
-- George Bernard Shaw

Why do people think I'm arrogant even if I'm quiet and kind?
People, in general, are idiots. Don’t listen to them. With this in mind, you don’t have to listen to me, either.
What's the difference between not knowing your self-worth and putting yourself through something stupid for someone you love?
Not much. If you’re putting yourself through something stupid, for love or not, it doesn’t say much for your self-worth. “Self-worth” demands that you don’t do that, and the one you love should never ask you to sacrifice it for something stupid. Meaningful, yes, but not for something stupid.
Why don't people respect others’ feelings?
Hey! I get to use this answer more than once. “People, in general, are idiots.”
Do people with very high egos also have insecurities and inferiorities inside them somewhere deep down?
It is one reason they have high egos. They tend to throw their ego around so people won’t be tempted to look deeper. Unfortunately, throwing their ego around pretty much raises a red flag for them. Not so much for inferiority as much as for insecurity.
Is it more important to you to be honest or nice? Why?
Honest. I have no filter, so “nice” comes and goes.
Why are you such a stupid retarded cunt?
Actually, in my 70 years of life, I’ve never been called that. But, your command of the English language is, somewhat, commendable. I have a retort to your question, but it would lower my bar significantly.
“If you call yourself an "authoress" on your Facebook profile, you suck at life. You are stupid and your children are ugly. It doesn't matter if you're just trying to be cute and original. You're not. You are about as original as all those other witless twits "writing" the one-millionth shitty Fifty Shades clone... But you're not showing people that you are fighting the good fight, you're showing people that you are a sheep, who's trying just a little too hard to ride the current wave of idiotic political correctness. The word "author" is no more gender discrimination than the word "person." Do you call yourself a personess? No, of course not, because then you might as well wear a sign around your neck that says, "Hello, I'm a retard.”
-- Oliver Markus
As an introvert, what advice would you give to someone who is not an introvert?
Don’t become one.
What are some deep questions that have no answer? Why do they cause this effect on our minds?

“Why?” The only excellent response is, “Because.” But, “because” isn’t a cogent answer. The only response to this answer is to ask, “What?” Questions with no answer drive us to find an answer. There is an answer to everything, and we will find it, sooner or later. Why? Because.
What kind of people don't have egos?
People without self-esteem or self-importance.
Why do people who don't like to be judged judge other people?
People, in general, like to judge. People, in general, don’t realize that judging someone says more about them than the person they are judging. It is so much better to find the good in people than to judge their faults. Of course, I’m a hypocrite. I have no filter. Don’t do as I do, do as I say.
Why are some jealous while others aren’t?
Some are greedy, and others aren’t. Some want to have, and some don’t care about having.
Why do optimist people anger me?
So, a person who tends to be hopeful and confident about the future pisses you off. If they are hopeful and confident about the success of something, this also pisses you off. And, certainly, a person who believes that this world is the best of all possible worlds, or that good must ultimately prevail over evil, should also piss you off. All of this is what an optimist is defined as. Maybe your negativity has too much control over you. Try to be happy that some people can think the best in bad situations. Just saying.
“Be the reason someone smiles. Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people.”
-- Roy T. Bennett
To solve World problems, what do we need the most, compassion or intelligence? Can simple-minded or average-IQ people, solve the most complicated problems in our world, by combining their efforts, without getting mentally exhausted?
You will need both, to solve world problems. The “smart” can come up with ideas the intelligent might not think of. But, the “smart” will need the “intelligent” to bring any significant change to fruition. There are idea people, and there are technical know-how people. Combine the efforts of both and we might be able to solve something.
What is a unique and personal goal you've set for yourself in the next year?
At 70 years of age, I’d like to live.
What group is the most dishonest, scheming, manipulative, slick, PARASITIC, misleading, and underhanded on [this site]?
The League of the Perpetually Offended. They will ask you a question and be offended by your answer. They, all most immediately, take the conversation into the gutter. I try to ignore them.
Don't you agree that they set the age of majority years beyond biological maturity because they're defying God?
I don’t think they took a vote to purposely defy God. He probably wasn't on the agenda.
How best do you know yourself?

At 70 years of age? I have learned to be comfortable with who I am. I care less what others think of me. I have a “code of personal ethics” that I can stand by. Not many people can say that. I am honest because I have no filter. I am truly happy always and in all things, regardless of my circumstances.

What are your favorite/best wise quotations?
Try this:

“It is what it is until it isn’t, and then it is what it is, again.”
-- F.A. Villari
What do you know about a know-it-all narcissist?
If they’re a “know-it-all” they’re on the right track.
What are some reasons why some people think that they are mature?
They are over the age of 21. I know people who are 50 that are immature. Any person who “acts out” isn’t very mature.
Why would people stop a terminally ill person from moving out of Satan's house of worship, filled with family betrayal, envy, and greed?
Why would a “terminally ill” person do what the people want, unless they're being forced?
What are some tips for managing a team with different work ethics?
That’s not a team. A team has similar work ethics, to achieve a common goal. When the goal is realized, they can go back to being an individual.
Does atheism make people more selfish than theism?
Only to theists.
Why aren't atheists afraid of being hated?
They expect it. Both sides expect it. My experience is that they go looking for it, and theists are willing to buy into the game. Personally, I think both sides need to lighten up, to live and let live. What you believe, you believe. Neither side should push their agenda on the other. Both sides have faith in their belief. Faith is a belief in something for which there is little or no proof. So, neither side can prove their belief, yet they keep hammering at the other. It is insane.
“The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.”
-- John Milton

Should men sleep with women they don't love?
Sex is sex. Love doesn’t have to enter the equation. Respect, yes. Lust, yes. Love, not so much.
What are the circumstances under which it is acceptable to deceive someone, and what are the potential consequences of being deceitful?
There are no circumstances that require one to lose their honesty. Lose it once, and you can lose it again and again. Pretty soon you’ll be known for being deceitful. How horrible is that?
How does one deal with an image scandal?
You apologize for having a screwed-up image and go about cleaning it up.
How do I strive harder in life when being privileged makes me lazy?
Understand that you can be “privileged” and still have a healthy work ethic. My Aunt created a multi-million-dollar company, and she rarely took a vacation. She reveled in the good work her company did. She enjoyed coming in so she could work hard to keep it the “premier” company in its class.
Why do women like to manipulate men?
It’s easy? Hey, I’m game. Manipulate away!
What “dead” people are for sure still alive?
The "living dead" would be my best guess.  If they’re dead, they certainly aren’t alive. And, if they’re “for sure” alive, then they aren’t dead. If “dead” people are alive, then they are zombies, or someone lied.
“He might have been alive. He might have been dead. Either way, he looked as though he'd belonged to the graveyard for a long time.”
-- Shel Danielson

If males love glory, what does that tell us as females?
If you are a female and your name is “Glory,” then you have a decision to make. Men or women? A simple choice.
Can people treat you badly out of envy?

Yes, but I hang out with a better class of people.
Are optimists dumb and ignorant?
Optimists are the people who make things happen. While most people are saying “no” they are forever saying “yes” and working hard to make it a reality. Naysayers are ignorant for saying “no” before they even try.
Can a guy fall in love after sex?
Absolutely. It used to happen to me all the time.
Why do people get angry at innocent customer service workers for things only the boss/manager/CEO can change?
They need to be angry at someone, and customer service is there for them to take it out on. It is up to customer service to advise the boss/manager/CEO of customers being pissed. It might make them institute a change.
What do you think about people who identify as genderless?
Attention seekers who have no clue.
“The bathroom was gender-neutral. It depicted a variety of people icons with these words underneath: WE DON'T CARE. JUST PEE NEATLY.”
-- Carlos Hernandez
Editor's Note
(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch - it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. Opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form their own opinions, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion in an arena of mutual respect concerning those opinions offered. After twenty-three years of military intelligence, I believe that engaging each other in this manner, and in this arena, is a way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience... and what we do afterward.
