Questioning Self-Love, Learning, Replies, Trades, and Sins

“You can be the most beautiful person in the world and everybody sees light and rainbows when they look at you, but if you yourself don't know it, all of that doesn't even matter. Every second that you spend on doubting your worth, every moment that you use to criticize yourself; is a second of your life wasted, a moment of your life thrown away. It's not like you have forever, so don't waste any of your seconds, don't throw even one of your moments away.”
-- C. JoyBell C.

Does self-love involve seeing the good in all aspects of yourself to a basic extent?
It also involves seeing the bad aspects of oneself, and understanding why those aspects exist. You don’t stop loving someone because they act out. It takes a bit more love to commit to change.
If I am questioning my relationship all the time, does it mean he is not right for me?

Ya think? You better figure it out now before you make a life mistake.
Why do I feel dumb? How can I start thinking and being smarter and sharp? What do I do?
Read, then critique what you read, then discuss it, and form opinions on it. Stop talking and start thinking. There are many levels of “smart” for you to choose from. Choose wisely.
Are people with depressed middle heads dumber? I observed that people who have their middle heads slightly pressed inwards are slow learners and don't speak well. How true is this? Does it affect intelligence?
Really? “Depressed middle head” shaming? What is the world coming to?
If your opinion was counted on, and you got the responsibility to make a decision for a new training employee to stay or leave the company, but you extremely don’t like them personally, what would you do?

My personal opinion of them has no bearing on whether they are a good worker. I would have to set my personal feeling for them aside and judge them on their merit to the company.
“What we individually deserve isn't as much as what we collectively merit.”
-- C.J. Cherryh
What is an example of a subject that can be learned by anyone?
Life. Some folks don’t care to learn it, but, by in large, most people have no problem with it.

How does honesty play a role in spiritual growth and development?

Dishonesty is counterproductive to good and righteous spiritual growth and development. Not that you won't grow and develop, but in what direction is a choice we all must make.
What is the most fundamental reality or illusion?
The fundamental reality is now, this moment. The fundamental illusion is time.
What is unintentionally unwholesome?
It depends on your definition of “unwholesome.” If you think fat and slovenly are unwholesome, for instance, was it the person’s “intent” to look that way, or did they just not know any better? If they didn’t know any better, then they are “unintentionally” unwholesome in the eyes of those who think they have the right to judge.
Can you learn how to fight just by thinking about it?
After you get the crap beat out of you, more than just thinking about it might be in order.
“Any fool can know. The point is to understand.”
-- Albert Einstein
Have you given more kisses or caresses in your life?
I’ve found that one leads to the other, and it was never my fault.
If someone were to ask you, "Who are you", what would you say?
“Tony. I’m the old man that’s doing your wife.”

“WHAT!”

“You asked.”
What would you say if I say, “I’d love to be friends with you”?
“Why?”
How can a person be positive in his life and think of all things positively?
It really isn’t that hard. You need to make the conscious choice to be truly happy always and in all things, regardless of your circumstances.
Would you save someone’s life if it put yours at risk?
Try this:

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.”
-- John 15:12–13
What are some reasons why someone might be stuck in a bad career/job situation that they don't know how to get out of, despite trying everything they can think of (short of quitting)?
They’re a bit simple in their thinking. They haven’t made the choice that needs to be made, so being “stuck” is their inability to choose. They have thought of no solution but the obvious one - to quit. Changing jobs is the only solution open to someone “stuck” and unable to make an obvious choice. In this scenario, they are their own worst enemy. Your life is yours, not theirs, so fix it. Make a choice. It really isn’t rocket science.
Have you ever been the first to show up at a party?
Always. I hate being late when people invite me to join them. I consider it rude.
How do you keep things to yourself when you are constantly being asked questions?
Yes, and I usually tell them it’s none of their business. There are things in life that not everybody, or anybody, needs to know. Pant-down spankings, for instance. That should be between you and your “dominant” other. Not everyone needs to know. Just saying.

Why did I immediately fall so deeply in love with my boyfriend?

Was he naked at the time?
Do people ever say "I am having a problem" instead of "I have a problem"?
If you have a problem. the problem is lingering on longer than it should. A “bad marriage” is an example. If you’re having a problem, you can probably get rid of it in relatively short order, but you might need some help. That “time of the month” is an example of having a problem.
“The more you add to what you have, the less you are. Accumulating more, concentrating all your effort in the quest for things you can have, means losing your being in the process... Being involves something different than the quest for having. Adding to what you have, means losing your being.”
-- Jacques Ellul
What if someone tried but failed every semester, should they drop out or move on with better hopes every time?
Trade schools offer an option for those who find school difficult. Many trade jobs pay as well, or better, than any job you might get after you finish school. Welding, electrical, plumbing, and the like are all trades looking for people. Shipyards, construction, and manufacturing, all need skilled trades.
What are some examples of "no resistance" in our daily life? How can we make use of it for our betterment?
I make no resistance to doing selfless things for other people. It has made me a better person.
How do I ask God to forgive my sins?
If you are serious, simply ask, then you can go and sin no more. It is that simple, if you are serious, that is. You have to do nothing but “selfless good” for the rest of your life, or you are just full of shit.
Is persistence always a sign of courage?
Can a coward be persistent in their cowardice?
What are the benefits of laughing more often as an adult person?
Less stress. Laughter keeps us young and healthy where stress is concerned. Never let stress or drama rule your life. Strive to be truly happy always and in all things, regardless of your circumstances, especially as an adult.
“Always laugh when you can, it is cheap medicine.”
-- Lord Byron

Editor's Note
(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch, it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. An opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form opinions of their own, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions and while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion, in an arena of mutual respect, concerning those opinions put forth. After over twenty years with military intelligence, I have come to believe engaging each other in this manner and in this arena is the way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience, and what we do afterward.

As the weapon for his war on intolerance he chose the pen, and wages his "battle" in the guise of the Congregation's official online blog, The Path, of which he is both author and editor. "The Path" offers a vehicle for commentary and guidance concerning one's own personal, spiritual, path toward peace and the final destination for us all. He currently resides in Pass Christian, Mississippi, where he volunteered as the lead chaplain at a regional medical center.
