It is a personal decision not to believe in a “God” as a creator. Theists, on the other hand, believe there is a “God” working behind the scenes. Neither side has any proof that they are right. The only proof will be when they die. If there is religious proof, “God” fearing people will be vindicated and atheists won’t have a clue. If atheists are right, neither side will have a clue, since they will all welcome death. Personally, I have to believe in a life after this one. Death is so negative.

I divorced my wife at 25 years of marriage. She accused me of everything she was doing. Her friends did not help anything. They told her everything she wanted to hear. She wanted me to file for a divorce, so I did. It was the “breath of fresh air” I was missing. I’ve been with my current “girlfriend” for 20 years.
