Some People

“I dispute the point that nuclear energy is 'clean' and 'cost-effective'. As I recall, when we first harnessed nuclear power it was to drop an atom bomb on a civilian population, not to save the environment. However, you must admit, the victors are never tried for war crimes.”
-- E.A. Bucchianeri
Some people are dumbasses.  Point of order: The victors are never tried for war crimes when the war is started by the other side. Funny how people forget that tidbit of information. It's like saying the Holocaust never happened. It did, and the Nazis killed over 10 million innocent people.  War crimes? Maybe for Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. People who try to give war criminals a pass are as guilty as the war criminals. You can't attack innocent people in Israel and expect Israel not to react with deadly force. When Russia attacks Ukraine, you can't expect Ukraine not to react.

I fully expect, that when we get a real President in the United States, the illegal aliens in our country will be hunted down, put on a tramp steamer, and sent packing back to their homeland. These people are not migrants.  Migrants register and come in legally.  Migrants don't kill people, don't gang up on people, don't steal, and don't have criminal records.  And, if they do, their migrant status needs to be reviewed. These "invaders" that cross the border illegally, are illegal aliens, not migrants. I'm sorry, this is a sore point for me and for the scores of legal migrants who come to this country to live by the rule of law.

What do we tell the "illegal aliens" when we confront them, down the road? I have a suggestion: "I'm sorry, but we had an idiot for a President. That problem has been remedied, and now we plan on rectifying the "illegal alien" issue. Get on the bus."

I'm heartless.  Really? Many of the poor in this country are starving. Many poor in this country live on the streets, or in their cars.  Many poor in this country can't get a job... without a phone number or an address. Heartless? Because I want our own citizens to be taken care of? Let's take care of our own before we take care of foreign criminals who come over our border illegally. If you think I'm a "heartless" S.O.B., well then, I will wear that moniker proudly.

If the people rushing the border didn't have innocent children with them, I'd open fire on the lot of them.  They are an invading force, and they should be treated as such. Snipers could get some good training on the border, taking out the menfolk. The women will flee back across, if they're smart that is.  But, it will take another 9/11 to wake up this country to the reality of what is happening to us, and, even then, the socialist "left" will dance in the streets.

Okay, I'm finished. I have no filter and I just had to get this off my chest.
"Often they are mentioned in the same breath as drugs that are smuggled across or terrorists that might try to be. What crosses the border is dangerous; the Southwest is our 'exposed flank.' There is a nagging fear that we've gone to sleep with the back door unlocked."

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch - it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. Opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form their own opinions, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion in an arena of mutual respect concerning those opinions offered. After twenty-three years of military intelligence, I believe that engaging each other in this manner, and in this arena, is a way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience... and what we do afterward.
