Questioning Love, God, Horny, Caring, Science, and Differences

“If they substituted the word 'Lust' for 'Love' in the popular songs it would come nearer the truth.”
-- Sylvia Plath

What does it mean to love someone but not like them? Is it possible to love someone but not like them at all? How does this affect the way we treat that person?
If I do not like them, I sure won’t love them. I might “lust” after them, however. Lust is an acceptable substitute for love, if love is not possible. You can fall into lust all day long.
“There are much more important things to do with our time than to waste it on people who enjoy arguing and are always looking to be right.” Do you agree?

Indeed. The League of the Perpetually Offended, on this site, is a good example.
How can I develop a joyful daily morning routine?
At about 3:00 a.m., I take a mile and a bit of walk. When I get home, I’m on the computer answering questions until 7:00 or 8:00. My body gets exercise, and then my mind gets exercise. More important than these, is to strive for true happiness, always and in all things, regardless of your circumstances. It is a choice you make for your life.
If you love someone, but he/she doesn't love you back, what should you do?
This isn’t rocket science. Find someone who will love you back.
How can one disprove or debunk atheism?
You can’t, any more than they can debunk theism. Niether side has any incontrovertible proof to present for their argument, yet they continue to bray at each other like two jackasses.
Reader comment: You cannot prove a negative, that is why courts, when they claim an individual has committed a crime are required to prove a crime was committed and the accused is responsible. People claim the existence of one ore more all powerful perfect beings, prove that claim with verifiable evidence, and most athiests would have no issue accepting the proof, and the existence of a diety. Until the claim is proven, it is in the same category as Santa, the tooth fairy, and unicorns.

My reply:  Or, no God. Oh, and "or," "all-powerful," "atheists," and "deity" are spelled wrong, and "fairy" needs a comma after it, and thank you for agreeing with me.
Reader reply: Arrogant, rude, and completely ignore what was said for some pedantic, totally disconnected reason rather than the facts of the statement, devout Christian I presume. If you cannot counter what was said, avoid it by distracting with how it was spelled. That proves you have no point.

My reply: At the risk of becoming the second jackass, calling people names is the tact of the League of the Perpetually Offended.  I am not a "devout" Christian, so your supposition is faulty. I can't counter what you said because you pretty much agreed with me. If I have no point, that also puts you in the crosshairs. (By the way, replace "ignore" with "ignored.")

Reader 2 reply: There can be no incontrovertible proof for the non existence of something. But atheism is A claim about positive proof, not really about the actual existence of any gods. “do you accept the claim that gods are real?” “No, I have no evidence to assume that to be the case”

Note: the second person isn't stating that no evidence does or could ever exist, simply that they do not know of any. Even if unquestionable evidence is provided at some point in the future, their claim is still valid/true, at the time the question was asked, they had no evidence to assume the claim was acceptable/valid.

My reply: Note: There seems to be a problem with you having proof

What does it mean to really love someone?
You will die for them. Without them in your life, you are dead anyway.
“True love is usually the most inconvenient kind.”
-- Kiera Cass
How do you get to know God more?
I gave up organized religion. My relationship with the “Big Guy” has never been stronger.
How do I become able to ease my mind or enjoy life even when life isn’t going so good?
Strive to be truly happy, always and in all things, regardless of your circumstances. It is a simple choice you need to make for your life. If you can be happy, everyone around you can see this and they will be more happy than they are.
What is a question that can never be answered?
“Why?” Everyone wants to say, “Because.” But, it really doesn’t do it justice.
Do you always think about sex?
Yes! At 70 years of age, it drives me crazy.
What if my girl won't give me a blowjob?
Find another girl. There are things that men look for in women. For you, it seems to be a blowjob. If you are not getting it, then you aren’t truly happy. “Happy” is one of those things we need in our lives. Go find “happy.”
Why do Christians have problems with sex?
I’m a Christian, and I have no “problem” with sex, except that I can’t get enough of it.
“I don't know the question, but sex is definitely the answer.”
-- Woody Allen
I am 24 year old female and am always horny. Is something wrong with me?
As a 70-year-old man, I can say there is nothing wrong with you.
Which ones are the best ways to become less ignorant in life, and why?
Focus. Don’t go through life not paying attention. If you have questions, ask. If you have an opinion, say. Life is a series of lessons, and you have been cutting class. Maybe it’s time for you to pay attention.
Does your wife have sex with co-workers?
No, but sex was not her problem. I divorced her.
I used to be energetic and optimistic (basically talking a lot and with different people). Does maturing really shift your mindset drastically and make you humble and choose to say nothing?
Interesting. At 70 years of age, I find myself sitting on the deck of my favorite cigar lounge, alone. Not that I mind conversation, I just find it soothing. People come out and we have good conversations, but when they go back in, I stay outside.
My mom is a sex addict. What should I do?
I’d tell you to give her my number, but that won’t help.
I am my spouse's career. What should I do?
If you don’t like that, then give them a “pink slip.” You can divorce them or tell them to back off a bit. Honesty and communication are necessary for a good relationship.
“A suffocating relationship drains the life force from both parties, leaving them gasping for freedom.”
-- Unknown
I care about money, sex, power, status, pleasure, control, land, and passing on my DNA. What's wrong with that?
Not a thing. Everybody wants it, but few ever get it.
Can someone be considered a true atheist if they have never been exposed to religion before reaching adulthood?
Why not? It is a belief, and we are free to change our thinking at any time. There is no rule preventing us from becoming an atheist. Organized religion drove me to find my own path where faith was concerned, It can drive many right out to atheism.
How can men become better at sex?
It depends on the partner
Which gender is more stressed?
Men are still the ones we see as the money makers, but women are surging up fast. I have no idea why women want all that stress, except that they might think they can handle it. Hey, if they can handle bringing up kids, what’s a boardroom to them?
What do you say when a friendship ends?
Sayonara.
How do I continue to love my life?

Strive for true happiness, always and in all things, regardless of your circumstances. It is a choice for your life. I put drama in the trash. Life is much too short for drama.
“You can’t save others from themselves because those who make a perpetual muddle of their lives don’t appreciate your interfering with the drama they’ve created. They want your poor-sweet-baby sympathy, but they don’t want to change.”
-- Sue Grafton
Can science explain the origin of God, who is believed to have created everything?
No.
I am 25 years old, unemployed, and depressed. What should I do?
So, what are you? 23 or 25? You listed both ages on similar questions, and I’d like to know. If you don't know how old you are, this might be a reason for being depressed. Just saying.
What are some brutal facts about human life?
You are born, you learn, and you die. Oh, and you get reborn.
How do I convince atheists that there is a God and that there's no way the universe was created without there being a God?
Good luck with that. Faith is the belief in something for which there is little or no proof, and no one has any incontrovertible proof for, or against, the existence of God.
Can a question make an atheist believe in God?

No.
Can atheism be proven like religion can be?
Religion can’t be proven. It is why we call it “faith.” Both sides of the discussion have faith in their belief, but “faith” is a belief in something for which there is little or no proof.
“Anyone who thinks sitting in church can make you a Christian must also think that sitting in a garage can make you a car.”
-- Garrison Keillor
What is the difference between a task and a scope?
The task is the job at hand. The scope is everything the task entails or might entail.
Is there a limit to the number of tasks you can add to your list?
My tasks can be infinite. The number I can do is not.
Is being religious a choice? Can being an atheist also be considered a choice?
Yes, and yes.
If you want to achieve in life, what should be your first step?
Learn about perseverance.
Will a guy think I’m too fat during sex?
Not really. Maybe after, though. We like to focus.
Is there anything bigger than the universe?
The “multiverse.”
"The multiverse is the hypothetical set of all universes. Together, these universes are presumed to comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space, time, matter, energy, information, and the physical laws and constants that describe them. The different universes within the multiverse are called "parallel universes", "flat universes", "other universes", "alternate universes", "multiple universes", "plane universes", "parent and child universes", "many universes", or "many worlds". One common assumption is that the multiverse is a "patchwork quilt of separate universes all bound by the same laws of physics."

(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch - it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. Opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form their own opinions, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion in an arena of mutual respect concerning those opinions offered. After twenty-three years of military intelligence, I believe that engaging each other in this manner, and in this arena, is a way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience... and what we do afterward.
