Questioning Actions, Cheating, Mistakes, Questions, Anger, and Stupidity

“Forget what you think you know. That’s over. You don’t know what’s going on out there.”
-- Jason Medina

Do people realize that our individual positive actions make a summation of our society?
Do you realize that most of the people, you addressed this question to, have no clue?

How do I forgive myself for all of the bad things I’ve done in my life? How do I get rid of this guilty conscience?
Admit to those who care that you were an asshole for most of your life, and you are trying to make up for all of it. Go out and do selfless deeds for the poor and hungry. You will always remember, but your conscience will understand the good you are doing.
Why is everything so stupid nowadays?
Cancel Culture. This is what happens when you cancel good sense.

Who keeps asking totally stupid questions on Quora?
There are no stupid questions unless they are asked more than once. However, I have seen quite a few stupid answers, and given a few, myself. I’d like to think that those who ask questions, even “stupid” ones, do so to learn.
How can platforms encourage critical thinking and diverse perspectives alongside personalized recommendations?
I’m not so sure that shoes can do this.
What will you do if you seem confused?
I’ll probably be walking into the walls. If not that, then I’ll have a blank stare and drool might be running down my chin. This sign of confusion usually happens when I’m not sure if I’m talking to a woman or a man. Not that it matters, but I like to fantasize, and if I’m not sure of the gender, my mind tends to lock up.
“Confusion is a luxury which only the very, very young can possibly afford and you are not that young anymore.”
-- James Baldwin
Is it stupid to forgive someone for cheating on you?
Absolutely not. But, they shouldn’t expect you to forget that they ripped your heart out. Forgiveness is a sign of strength, and remembrance is a sign of learning.
How can you end a debate?
Have the last word, and walk away.
How can I be confident despite being 5'9 and with an average manhood?
You have defined me. I have had no problems with life or the ladies. It isn’t what you have, it is all bout how you use it and your talents. It is a tad “hard” to become confident, But I’m sure you’ll make it okay.
Why should we question science?
To expand our knowledge. We constantly question science, and we learn more by doing so.
How can one respond to someone who questions the belief in a higher power or religion?
You can’t. It is a matter of faith. Faith is the belief in something for which there is little or no proof. So, your response to questions dealing with faith, for which there is no proof, is what? For that matter, they also have no proof that there isn’t a “higher power” to believe in. Theists and atheists would be well served to shut the hell up, since there is no proof, either way.
What should you thank God for every day?
For the gift of another glorious day in paradise. I do this every morning when I wake up. Any day on this side of the dirt is another glorious day.
“If people begin to be more grateful, they will see the wonders of life.”
-- Lailah Gifty Akita
How should people be addressed when they make mistakes instead of being called a "fool"?
Everyone makes mistakes, so should we call everyone a fool? I think not. I’d be more inclined to call them “human.”
What should you do if you have been insulted?
Wait till they go to sleep.
Why is it difficult to accept the truth that "everything takes time"?
Because people don’t understand time. “Time” is a human concept we created, to give some structure to life. It allows us to understand that everything in the universe is at the mercy of time. Nothing escapes change, and change takes time.
Are MAGA men insecure?
No more than any other men. However, asking this question might put your security in question.
How can you effectively confront someone who constantly lies, without causing them to become angry or upset?
That's not going to happen. Being “angry or upset” is a knee-jerk reaction to being blindsided with a valid accusation. It insinuates time into the equation, to give them a moment to formulate an excuse or a reason.
What distinguishes a person who looks down on others from someone who looks down on themselves?
An inflated ego, compared to little or no ego at all.
“Those with inflated egos are not well grounded.”
-- Christine E. Szymanski
How do you feel when people ask you a lot of questions?
Busy.
How can I change my life with my habits?
What you do defines who you are. If you develop good and selfless habits, you’ll be defined as good and selfless.
How do you politely tell employees they're stupid?
“You seem to have not thought this through.”
If an atheist was proven wrong about their belief that God does not exist, would they change their mind and embrace religion?
The fact that the atheist was “proven” wrong is problematic. Neither side, atheist or theist, has any proof for the faith in their belief. “Faith,” according to the definition, is a belief in something for which there is little or no incontrovertible proof.
How can one respond to someone who says "I know it because I feel it" about their religious beliefs?
No response is necessary. Both atheists and theists “know it because they feel it.” There is no incontrovertible proof that either side can conjure up to convince the other that they are right. Both sides have faith that they are right.
Why is everyone so hell-bent on verbally attacking anyone with an answer that doesn't fit their needs/agenda? There always seems to be one or sometimes two doing this… Please, judge not let ye be judged.
These are usually members of the League of the Perpetually Offended. They rarely answer questions, but they are ready to jump on others who do. I ignore them.
“Those who are determined to be ‘offended’ will discover a provocation somewhere. We cannot possibly adjust enough to please the fanatics, and it is degrading to make the attempt.”
-- Christopher Hitchens
Why is my ex-wife so mad?
She realizes she made a mistake?

How do I measure a person's success?
Success is a measure of how truly happy they are in life. Everything else is simply attaining a goal. One should strive to be truly happy always and in all things, regardless of their circumstances. It is a choice.
What would constitute a perfect day for beginners?
Waking up.
Is it healthy to get angry over negative consequences or to not be forgiven?
It is never healthy to get angry, especially over negative consequences or not being forgiven. Negative consequences is life giving me a chance to learn. Not being forgiven, however, is an idiot “thinking” that I actually care what they think.
Can it be true that one should make it their mission to magnify people’s strengths, not to highlight their weaknesses?
It can be true.
To what extent is the concept of the "mindset" a difficult one to grasp fairly when trying to judge a person?
It should be a very difficult concept, considering the judging of another person says more about the person judging than the person being judged. In this case, “fair” is the mindset a person needs to consider, lest they be judged.
“The self-righteous scream judgments against others to hide the noise of skeletons dancing in their own closets.”
-- John Mark Green
Do you realize how stupid you appear?
I “appear” to be, but appearances can be deceiving, especially if the person has been in the Intelligence field for 23 years. It becomes a tactic to throw idiots off.
What is your plan for 1st Jan 2024?
You’re asking this now? It was 26 days ago. Where have you been?
How can we stop Democrats from calling us maga morons?
The fact that they don’t want to make America great again, is obvious every time they say it. Please don’t stop them. If MAGA is moronic, what are the socialist, indoctrinating, Democrats?
How can we determine if we should be offended by something?
When it offends you. There is a “League” out there that is offended by everything. Try not to become a charter member.
Why do some people feel that society owes them something?

Misplaced ego.
Were you born out of your mom’s asshole? Because you seem to be one
“Seems” to be one, but not an actual one. It makes one think that people judging others, whom they don’t know, might better fill this definition. Oh, and you need a period at the end of the second sentence. Just saying.
“Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it.”
-- Laurence J. Peter

(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch - it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. Opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form their own opinions, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion in an arena of mutual respect concerning those opinions offered. After twenty-three years of military intelligence, I believe that engaging each other in this manner, and in this arena, is a way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience... and what we do afterward.
