The Death of Our Sun?

I saw this article by Paul Sutter, "Will the solar system survive the death of our sun?", on Space.com this morning.  On the face of it, I thought it was a moronic question for anyone who had any knowledge of how the universe works.  If a sun dies, so die the planets.  Any effect the sun's gravity had on the universe, as a whole, would also be negated by it's passing.  But, like political candidates, you can't judge a book by its cover.  Well, you can, I mean the conclusion is pretty obvious, but the backstory is pretty interesting even if the conclusion is known.  To quote the beginning of his article, "It's gonna get ugly."  Ya think?

I read this article and couldn't help but put it in the context of the Presidential election, tomorrow.  If Joe Biden wins, "It's gonna get ugly."  Actually, it will get ugly either way.  Businesses are already boarding up their store in preparation for the backlash from the socialist anarchist (read fascist).  If they can't have their way the country will not survive.  If they have it their way, the country will not survive.  What the Democrat party fails to understand is the socialists, once in power, will rid themselves of the pesky Democrat party who has shown no backbone and will just as easily be conned into fighting against the socialists down the road.  My advice to Democrats?  Be careful what you wish for and, more importantly, who you get into bed with.

Yep, you're right, this post has little to do with the death of the solar system and, rather, much to do with the death of our way of life.  Hence, "It's gonna get ugly."  If the country wasn't split right down the middle, it would be easier.  Most people don't want socialism, and the socialists are ignoring that small fact.  They think the country will go along to get along.  There will, eventually, be war, and it will be bloody.  The good news is, it will be short.

The Democrats, in Congress and the Senate, might be willing to support riots and burning cities, but they have no backbone for a bloody conflict and the death of their base.  A police state will be declared and the anarchist and their supporters will be rounded up, tried for insurrection, treason, or outright stupidity.  We will go back to a balanced government, with renewed knowledge that homegrown terrorism is always at our doorstep, we should always be on the lookout for it, and we should crush it before it gets a toehold.

Personally, I'd keep an eye on Hollywood.  It would seem Senator Joseph McCarthy, and the HUAC (House Un-American Activities Committee), in the 1950s, was right about them, all along.  But, everything that followed with McCarthy violated the very system that gave rights to these very "Tinsel-Town" socialists and communists, the guaranteed rights that socialism and communism always seek to destroy - the Bill of Rights and our sacred Constitution.

Just saying.

(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch, it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either opinion any more right or wrong than the other. An opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form opinions of their own, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

It is my fervent hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions and while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion, in an arena of mutual respect, concerning those opinions put forth. After over twenty years with military intelligence, I have come to believe engaging each other in this manner and in this arena is the way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience, and what we do afterward.
