Questioning Stupid, Sluts, Assistance, Names, and Genius

“If you ask a stupid question, you may feel stupid; if you don't ask a stupid question, you remain stupid.”
-- Tony Rothman

Do you agree there´s no such thing as a stupid question?
As long as it isn’t asked more than once, yes.
Must society be the way it is?
No, but it is what it is. Most people seem comfortable with it. The liberals would bring communism into the United States. There would be another civil war.
Isn't it better for men to have at least two wives?
Oh, hell no. One is quite enough, thank you.
Why do we care about failure?

Failure is the way we learn. We are not supposed to make the same mistake twice. Unfortunately, many people do. Failure and success are the two ends of life. There are many stops in between, and many people get bogged down in them. We are supposed to learn from failure and continue our journey to success. If you don’t learn everything you want to learn in this life, the “next great adventure” is waiting for you after this life is complete.
Why do wives think they can do whatever they want, and get away with it?
Sex. They wield it like a weapon, and husbands cower.
How does the dream compare to your waking life relationship?
The dream isn’t real, so whatever you want can happen. Reality, on the other hand, insists you have to work for what you want.
“You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
-- Dr. Seuss
How do I tell if a wife is a slut?
She sleeps around… a lot.
What is your opinion on an atheist who dislikes religion but not religious individuals?
They are a Democrat who socializes with Republicans. They accept your belief, even if it isn’t theirs. This is a social tact we should all exercise.
Why do atheist minds not work?
Atheist minds work fine. They don’t work the same way theist minds work, however. This is fine as it gives people something to talk about over coffee. I’ll take the atheist disarming a bomb, over a theist who has issues, any day. And, vice versa. I wouldn’t ask your question of the atheist doctor who is about to work on your heart. It wouldn’t be good form.
Which religion do atheists tend to have the most respect for?
Considering they have no use for religion, I’d say they have no respect for any of them.
What could be the reason for someone to say "I'm not sure if I want to marry you anymore" after almost two years of dating and living together?
They learned something about them by living together, or they have decided marriage isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. My son and his girlfriend have decided this. They have been happily together for over 20 years.
How can you elevate your leadership skills?
Take a “Leadership Workshop” from an accredited school like the American Management Association.
“Be grateful for what you already have while you pursue your goals. If you aren’t grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you would be happy with more.”
-- Roy T. Bennett
Living on my parent's property. Father passed, mother owes on the house. Should I help her pay off the house, or move?
Ask your mother if she needs help. You live there, and being responsible comes with the territory.
How have daily motivational quotes impacted your life and personal growth?
Quite a bit. I research motivational quotes to use for my blog every day. Daily I find one that “speaks” to me; it has much more meaning for me, and my readers. “Motivational quotes” are snippets of wisdom.
What motivates you personally?
Responsibility.
What makes you who you truly are?
Everything I have learned for the past 70 years. What I have learned from school, the military, and my jobs in the Intelligence field and the Institutional Review Board have all helped me to become what I truly am. I have researched moral and ethical behavior, and stand by what I have learned… the best I can. All of this makes me who I truly am.
What decides who we meet in life?
Chance. We constantly take chances when we meet someone, or they think about meeting us. The “chance” can work out and, sometimes it won’t. It is a "chance" we take, in life.
Who truly loves you for who you are?
I try to be the best I can be for those around me. I think those who know me, love me for who I am. I’m not sure I can change, without some detriment... to who I am. “To know me is to love me” is a credo I try to stand by, and it has served me pretty well.
“We have to allow ourselves to be loved by the people who really love us, the people who really matter. Too much of the time, we are blinded by our own pursuits of people to love us, people that don't even matter, while all that time we waste and the people who do love us have to stand on the sidewalk and watch us beg in the streets! It's time to put an end to this. It's time for us to let ourselves be loved.”
-- C. JoyBell C.
What do you think of the name Caleb Gibbins?
It doesn’t roll off the tongue. Of course, it could be my tongue.
Bullying people is pointless because it’s not going to change society. So what is the point of bullying people, as a tactic to change society?
They aren’t trying to change society. They are trying to get you to agree with their idea. As with most bullies, it is all about their power trip. They want you to agree with them. If their idea had merit they wouldn’t have to “bully” people to agree with them.
How would you define someone who is highly intelligent but lacks academic knowledge?
Smart.
Is it ever justifiable to call someone an idiot, even if they deserve it?
No one deserves it. They could be lacking in the facts you think you have. Educate them with the facts you think you have. If they balk at the facts you think you have, walk away. If you're smart, you'll double-check the facts... you think you have.
What are things you should not say to a spouse to maintain a successful relationship?
“You’re an idiot.”

What was Plato's opinion of Socrates?

Try this:
“Plato's great admiration for Socrates was all the more remarkable because it coexisted not only with a recognition of why Socrates was considered dangerous but also with his belief that Socrates was, to some degree, guilty of impiety and of corrupting the young.”
-- Britannica
What do you think of the name Dan Leonard Bennett?
Daniel Leonard Bennett,” sounds great. It rolls off the tongue.
We dont know how did we realized that we have thoughts and knowledge?

We always had thoughts and knowledge, but we didn’t have the words to describe “thoughts” and “knowledge,” while we were grunting and mating. The words, “thoughts” and “knowledge,” came much later in our development, with our “intelligence.” Probably while one of us was grunting and mating. It is what most of us still do.
Will Kamala screw up?
Ya think?
What do you do when your job depresses you and you never want to go to work anymore?
You look for another job. Staying in a job that depresses you is not constructive to happiness, and the money can not make it right. It is your life. You have to make it right or… shut up, do the job, and be miserable. Not what you want to do. Is it? It may be time for you to browse through the classifieds.
What are the most common ways people end up unhappy?
Work and relationships.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a wife who cooks, versus one who doesn't cook?
If you have married her knowing this, there are no “disadvantages.” You have committed, so there must be a way you see around the issue. Either you cook, have a servant who cooks, or you plan on eating out… all the time.
“Skills can be taught. Character you either have or you don't have.”
-- Anthony Bourdain
Is a genius who doesn't know English more intelligent than an average person who is fluent in English?
For a “genius,” language is of no concern. A “genius” will learn a language, if needed.
Is it possible for a relationship to work if one partner expresses missing their ex, while being in a relationship with someone else?
It may work, but their new partner should be concerned.
What if I don't consider myself a part of the human race?
Do you grunt, bark, meow, or swing through trees? If you aren’t human, what are you? You have captured the language, and typed it, as well. Do you consider yourself an alien, not of this world?
What should a person become in life?
Whatever their intelligence, or smarts, will allow them to become, if they truly desire it.
Will a human being believe just about anything?
If it makes sense, is believable, and they don’t already know the facts, probably so. Look at our political voting history. People will believe anything they know little about. People are much too lazy for due diligence.

What motivates people to do things in their lives? Is there a universal reason for human behavior?

Needs and desires.

-- Roy T. Bennett

(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch - it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. Opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form their own opinions, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion in an arena of mutual respect concerning those opinions offered. After twenty-three years of military intelligence, I believe that engaging each other in this manner, and in this arena, is a way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience... and what we do afterward.
