Questioning Protection, Debate, Genius, Pointless, Death, and Questions

“The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.”
-- Jeff Cooper

How do you protect your identity and safety if a personal device is cloned and your partner is sneaky for the hours you sleep?
Everyone I’m affiliated with knows I am a former military Intelligence manager. I own guns. I know how to use them. I also know how to use other “techniques” to get what I want. I await the squatter who thinks my house is his. It will be the last house he thinks he can squat in. You protect your identity, and your property, with brute force. You deal with the “liberal” court system down the road. Of course, I live in the “Stand Your Ground” state of Mississippi, which helps.
Does hard work really get people anywhere nowadays? Why do people who don’t work as much, are living the most lucrative life?
Unions.
What if you can't control your instincts?
You will have to fall back on the “facts” that are supposed to drive your instincts, the “facts” that you should be looking at anyway. The “facts” will prevent your instincts from getting you into deeper shit than you’ve already stepped in.
If a person is bad, do you tell them they are bad? What was learned?
Yes, you tell them they are bad. You will “learn” to duck and weave… if they come at you.
Do you think that younger or older people have more friends? Why is this so?
Younger people have many “close” friends. They haven’t learned that most of their “friends” are getting close for the wrong reasons. Older people have many friends, but not so many “close” friends. They have learned to be a bit more selective as to who they let get too close. Usually, this comes from getting screwed too many times by supposed “friends” they let get too close.
If I am cheat, or a coward, will my country care for me?
Move to the United States. The bleeding heart liberals here will take care of you.

"There are a lot of bleeding hearts around who just don't like to see people with helmets and guns. All I can say is go and bleed. It is more important to keep law and order in society than to be worried about weak-kneed people. Society must take every means at its disposal to defend itself against the emergence of a parallel power which defies the elected power."
-- Pierre Trudeau

I have this really important debate competition coming up. The topic is age and wisdom will always beat youth and its exuberance. I am speaking for the motion. What are some points to add?
This is a debate? Tell the “youth” to sit down, shut up, and contemplate their exuberance.
In your experience, are technical issues usually resolved quickly?
It pretty much depends on the vast experience of the technician. I was with an organization where we asked for a particular “experienced” technician by name, knowing that the issue would be “resolved quickly.”
Is it worth sending a personal message to someone on [this site]?
You will never know until you do.
Why is the drive to mate so incredibly strong in humans?
The drive to mate is stronger in animals than it is in humans. The drive to have unforgiving sex, on the other hand, is almost as strong as animals mating. Most of us love to have sexual intercourse. Just saying.
What is the most potent addiction to mankind's existence?
Living.
Why do we live in such a cruel world?
It depends on where you live. Living in the “Stand Your Ground” state of Mississippi, most people know we will meet them on the line, armed to the teeth. Most “cruel” people won’t meet you there. They are “closet cowards,” when it comes down to facts. If they don’t have a weapon to brandish in front of the “old lady” it isn’t worth their time, especially if the “old lady” has a bigger weapon and has already shot the cruel guy’s kneecap off.

“Do you know why he did what he did to you? Because he could.”
-- Karishma Magvani

Does calling someone stupid make you a genius?
No, it makes me sound just as stupid.
Why has respect for healthcare workers been declining lately?
Other than the report issued a few days ago stating that they can’t pass a typical test, another report states there aren’t enough primary healthcare providers and healthcare specialists to give the test to.
What are some other things that are considered true besides the concept of God?
Well, 2+2 = 4, comes to mind. And, which “concept of God” are you thinking of?
In companies that push software engineers to "Move Fast and Break Things," who actually shoulders the blame when things do inevitably break? The lowly workers? Or the senior leadership team who forced them to move fast?
It doesn’t matter. The fact that we move fast enough to break things, and leadership does not shoulder the blame, would move me to find other, more responsible, employment.
Do you block people just for being so stupid that they have nothing of worth to contribute?
Are you talking about members of the League of the Perpetually Offended? If so, then yes.
Has anyone (such as a parent, teacher, or guardian) ever told you that you should just ignore the people who are bothering you while being ignorant of the fact that they're allowing that person to pester and even bully you whenever they want to?
No. And if I found out that they were allowing the person to pester or bully me, I would take it out on them in front of everybody.

"The term “enabler” refers to someone who persistently behaves in enabling ways, justifying or indirectly supporting someone else’s potentially harmful behavior. In other words, enabling is directly or indirectly supporting someone else’s unhealthy tendencies."
-- PsychCentral

Can someone help me decide? I have 14 working days to submit my diploma, but it takes 5 days for my busy mentor to review, and my emails often go unread. I also have a really bad fear of public speaking, so I've been putting it off. Is it pointless?
Now that you’ve wasted most of the 14 days that your “busy” mentor could have used, yeah, it is pretty pointless. Good job. You should have gone fishing. This is all on you, not on them.
I believe I am someone I am not. What can I do?
Be who you want to be, otherwise you will be living a lie.
Is it okay to sometimes not have things under control?

In my world, even at the age of 70, If I don’t have anything under control… I could crash and burn. I started slipping, so I started paying an “executive assistant” to cover my ass. So far it has paid maximum dividends, God bless her.
Why shouldn't humans kill if we were made for that?
We weren't. We have civil laws. Killing is for battle… until we rise above it.
How do people meet other people? Where do people go? What do people do? How do I be a person?
Go where you’d like to hang out. The people there will be doing what you are doing. Introduce yourself to them as just another person. Be who you are. Anything else would be a lie.

Why are people killing themselves?
Weak personality and character, and an inability to learn the lessons.

“There comes a time when you look into the mirror and you realize that what you see is all that you will ever be. And then you accept it. Or you kill yourself. Or you stop looking in mirrors.”
-- J. Michael Straczynski

What do you do if you think people are coming to kill you?
Buy some protection, and lock all of your doors.
Why do we often think we're suffering alone? There are millions or billions of people, going through the same thing or worse.
Selfishness. It is all about us, and what we’re going through.
When is it good to enjoy making someone suffer?
Never “enjoy” making someone suffer.
At what point should a person stop playing the victim and take responsibility for their problems, issues, and circumstances in life?
When they “grow up” and take responsibility for their own life.
What is waiting for atheists after they die?
Nothing. It is what they wanted.
Why do you try so hard to figure a person out?
Because she isn't very smart, but she is very good-looking. Woof!

“If I’m going to get judged for it, I might as well do it, right?”
-- Lauren Landish

Why do so many people waste time on this site and ask stupid and silly questions?
For them, it may not be a waste of time. There is no stupid or silly question if it is only asked once. The answers will give the questioner much to think about. If you feel questions are “stupid and silly” you have the right to not answer, or ask for clarification.
Have you ever caught someone talking about you in another language?
Yes. Eye contact told me all I needed to know.
Do people have free will? If yes, explain your reasoning. If no, why?
People do have free will. They are born with it. It is an inalienable right of every human. If they give up their right to free will, it is their free will to do so. Every choice and decision requires a person to give a negative, positive, or neutral answer. It is their choice. If someone makes them give another answer, that is their choice, as well. If they are faced with death for giving the wrong answer, it is their free will to die or change their answer.
Do you think that the idea of being dependant on spirituality and feeling the need to be guided and helped by a higher power is a crutch? Can happiness really be found solely within us?
Spirituality is not a crutch, for those who are aware. And “happiness” can only “be found solely within us.” If happiness does not come from within you, it is not your happiness.
Can Truth still be used to fight ill intentions and manipulation? Should patience and precision be elevated to execute properly? Or, is "truth" the first victim of our modern age?
Truth is never a victim. Truth is what it is, and nothing can change the truth. People can use the truth for many reasons, but the “truth” will always be what it is, regardless of personal intentions. One can waste time on patience and precision, to “execute properly,” but again, it will always be the truth.
What is the difference between ignorant and stupid?
If you’re ignorant, ask a question and find an answer. If you’re stupid, telling you not to pull the pin on the grenade will fall on deaf ears. You will be “stupid” as long as it takes to pull the pin and start the timer.

"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."
-- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Editor's Note
(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch - it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. Opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form their own opinions, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion in an arena of mutual respect concerning those opinions offered. After twenty-three years of military intelligence, I believe that engaging each other in this manner, and in this arena, is a way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience... and what we do afterward.
