Tolerance: The World Pledge?

I was wondering if there was a "Pledge to Humanity," so I looked it up online and found there is a "World Pledge."  The site gave permission to copy and distribute so I have added it at left.

I omitted the United Nations flag which was attached to the bottom.  I saw no reason why they should be making this about an organization, especially an organization that has proven itself to be totally dysfunctional.  If the folks touting this pledge want everyone to get behind it, I recommend dropping the UN like a hot potato and choosing one of the many other international bodies that actually accomplish something without all the politics.

I like this pledge.  It is short and to the point.  The only change I would make is the redundant "and one World," replacing it with "and tolerance."  Actually the whole pledge should be read,
"I pledge allegiance to humanity and to the world that gives us life, one people, united in diversity, tolerance and peace, with freedom and dignity for all."

I also question why they felt the need to capitalize humanity, world and people, so I made them lower case.

All in all it is a pledge with a sentiment I think we can all get behind, well, maybe not the terrorist heretics.  This goes well beyond their ability to understand and get behind  Maybe if when you finished reading it, it would explode.  As for the rest of us, I'd like to see something like this at the Olympics.

Now there is a venue that can get the ball rolling!
