Questioning the Short Answers

“Merging like two drops of water. Together in a way that humans could never know.”
-- L.J. Smith
Some annoying person keeps merging all my questions with other completely unrelated questions. How do I unmerge my questions?
This is a site management issue. There should be no way anyone but you and site management could merge anything. I would get hold of the liberal staff and ask them what is going on. It pisses me off that we take time to answer a question to have the answer deleted because time runs out. Management doesn’t pay attention.
If I keep failing and can't succeed, should I give up and end myself?
You don’t understand “failing” as a learning tool. Failing is the best way we learn. You can fail multiple times until you find the correct solution. It isn’t that you fail as much as what you do with the failure. You need to learn, which is why we are here. If you end yourself, you will end up right back here to try this shit all over again. Better you try, try again, then start all over.
What's the importance of setting realistic goals in a weight loss journey?
My “realistic goals” are knowing my “weight loss journey” and how the trip is written. I lost 10 pounds and leveled off. A week or two later I start losing weight again. I lose another 10 pounds and level off again. And this continues until I reach my goal. I thought it would get easier the older I got. I find myself more serious about the weight loss. Unfortunately, it seems I am still losing 10 pounds and leveling off. At this rate, I’ll be on my diet for a year. Well, at 70 years of age, it is what it is.
Does it hurt to hang yourself?
Only for a few minutes. But, for those few minutes, you get to think about the mistake you’re making.
Why doesn’t everyone hate Jews?
I don’t hate the Jews. I hate the assholes who attacked without warning and cut off baby’s heads.
Is death the end of the pain?
Death is pretty much the end of everything… unless there’s a life after death. If so, and if God has a sense of humor, the pain might continue. The purpose of life is to learn, not to find ways to end it.
“If pain must come, may it come quickly. Because I have a life to live, and I need to live it in the best way possible. If he has to make a choice, may he make it now. Then I will either wait for him or forget him.”
-- Paulo Coelho
How can I stop thinking negative things about people when I see them?
For one thing, if all you see is the negative aspects of people, maybe you can try meeting a better class of people. You know, people who have the same interests as you do, like judging others. Or, you can admit that by judging others, you are admitting that you, yourself, have faults to be judged.
How can you prepare for your first night with your girlfriend?
Anything can happen. You can lose control, or she can lose control. If you seriously want to be prepared, buy mass condoms. No reason to bring an unwanted child into the mix.
How do I stop being always horny?
Find someone who will satiate all those horny feelings before they become an issue for you, or someone else. Of course, this might be a bit pricey, unless they’re submissive.
How can you "know" what is true, if your knowledge is based on belief?
If you only believe that which is true, then your knowledge is based on truth. If your knowledge is based on faith, however, then one must know that faith is a “belief” in something for which there is little or no proof.
How does critical thinking take you to another level?
You can think, or you can form an objective analysis and evaluation of an issue. Thinking is a crap shoot. Critical thinking can take you to the “level” where things work out more often.

Should I resist the urge to masturbate or not?

Oh, my God! It is what it is. Masturbate, for goodness sake. It’s a sin, but, what the hell? Ooof! Hell would be the entire point! You better resist the urge. Good luck!
“Just because a feeling is natural does not mean it should be indulged.”
-- Roseanna White

Editor's Note
(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)

Before you go getting your panties in a bunch - it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either view any more right or wrong than the other. Opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form their own opinions, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.

I fervently hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion in an arena of mutual respect concerning those opinions offered. After twenty-three years of military intelligence, I believe that engaging each other in this manner, and in this arena, is a way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.

We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience... and what we do afterward.
