The "League of the Perpetually Offended" is growing. I think it grows for two reasons; political correctness and liberal indoctrination. Political correctness is, by definition, determined by politics of the day which are determined by the majority of voters, supposedly. Liberal indoctrination, however, is more insidious because the "majority" of people are too naive to understand they are being brainwashed by the "educational" system to accept their fate, and the fate of their children, to become mindless drones incapable of independent thought. What? You don't agree with this? Well, then, welcome to socialism... comrade! Rest secure in the knowledge you have been instrumental in the destabilization of your country. Your effort, your idealistically perpetual offense at everything, will be rewarded:
“The useful idiots, the leftists who are idealistically believing in the beauty of the Soviet socialist or Communist or whatever system, when they get disillusioned, they become the worst enemies. That’s why my KGB instructors specifically made the point: never bother with leftists.
Forget about these political prostitutes. Aim higher. They serve a purpose only at the stage of destabilization of a nation. For example, your leftists in the United States: all these professors and all these beautiful civil rights defenders. They are instrumental in the process of the subversion only to destabilize a nation.
When their job is completed, they are not needed anymore. They know too much. Some of them, when they get disillusioned, when they see that Marxist-Leninists come to power—obviously they get offended—they think that they will come to power. That will never happen, of course. They will be lined up against the wall and shot.”

Ellen DeGeneres took a lot of flak recently for a photo of her and ex-president George W. Bush having some laughs at a football game, "Here's the thing: I'm friends with George Bush. In fact, I'm friends with a lot of people who don't share the same beliefs that I have. We're all different, and I think that we've forgotten that that's okay." Ellen is not perpetually offended, she is opinionated, as are most intelligent people.
Freedom to have an opinion is why we have freedom of speech. We are all free to have our own opinions. This used to be something we agreed on; we agreed to disagree. Now, however, the socialist in the United States promise violence against any that dare to disagree with their opinions. When do they start building the gulags, the "showers," and the death camps? How long will it take our country to bring socialism full circle to become all it has ever been?
Socialism is the ultimate danger in allowing the perpetually offended to gather the lion's share of rope. That same lion's share of rope will be used by the leaders of the socialist movement to hang the offended who gathered it. Their own socialist leaders recognize the danger of the perpetually offended: They are perpetually offended, and there is no room for them in a socialist system that abhors an individual's pursuit of happiness and freedom of thought, especially when an individual is happiest being offended at everything. The socialist leaders realize, and rightly so, eventually their own movement will be the target of this sense of offense.
The perpetually offended are easily recognized by what they support, for instance, abortion when it condones murder of unborn babies, in and out of the womb, for no good reason (Support for wholesale abortion evidences a lack of value for human life which might be an indoctrination of the weak-minded into thinking it is appropriate to murder other "at-risk" groups). They also seem to support rewritten histories, socialist educational systems that offer nothing more than socialist indoctrination of the young, gun control laws to remove guns which they will need to protect themselves when the movement leaders finally turn on them, and support of groups who do not support them (read the previous gun control comment), just to name a few.
I tire of reading the vitriolic rhetoric of the perpetually offended. The first few lines of vitriol pretty much give you a good synopsis of the rest. Their comments on my writing evidence that they don't really read, much less understand, what I'm saying. Nondefinitive statements are viewed as definitive, and statements of sympathy and understanding are viewed as anything but. They don't agree to disagree, they agree while they disagree. Again, this evidences, for me, that they haven't taken the time to really read it much less understand it.

It would seem, by their own rhetoric, the perpetually offended would willingly give everything for a group who publically states a lack of support for them. The "Black Lives Matter" anarchist group once touted the death of all white people while white people accosted other white people in support of this same group. Is this a replay of WWII when Nazi-sympathizing Jews thought their lives would be saved by assisting the Nazis in systematically murdering millions of Jews? What sense does that make? This is like African Americans and American Jews supporting the Democrat Party of the KKK, Jim Crowe, and the destruction of Israel. It is insanity personified to not recognize who really has their boot on the neck of the perpetually offended, and what they will do to the leaders of these offended when the smoke clears.
I fully expect the League of the Perpetually Offended to have a field day with this post, as usual, and why would one expect less. It is, after all, what they do and how we can so easily recognize them for what they are, like when they spit on people or throw milkshakes on them, or accost couples and families in restaurants simply because they don't agree with an opinion. Very mature? Well, its what I've come to expect and what I truly hope they continue to do, otherwise, how will any of us recognize them? Now, members of the League will be quick to point out those offended who do the same to them. Think about it. Uh-huh, there it is.
I don't get into pissing contests with the perpetually offended because it will gain nothing but let people see two jackasses braying at each other. I also don't find the need to point them out to others, they do an exceptionally fine job of pointing to themselves, and I appreciate their honest effort.

(Re: disclaimer cum "get out of jail free" card)
Before you go getting your panties in a bunch, it is essential to understand that this is just an opinion site and, as such, can be subjected to scrutiny by anyone with a differing opinion. It doesn't make either opinion any more right or wrong than the other. An opinion, presented in this context, is a way of inciting others to think and, hopefully, to form opinions of their own, if they haven't already done so. This is also why, occasionally, I will present an "opinion" just to stir an emotional pot. Where it may sound like I agree with the statements made, I'm more interested in getting others to consider an alternate viewpoint.
It is my fervent hope that we keep open and active minds when reading opinions and while engaging in peaceful and constructive discussion, in an arena of mutual respect, concerning those opinions put forth. After over twenty years with military intelligence, I have come to believe engaging each other in this manner and in this arena is the way we will learn tolerance and respect for differing beliefs, cultures, and viewpoints.
We all fall from grace, some more often than others; it is part of being human. God's test for us is what we learn from the experience, and what we do afterward.
